My drama journey, like most good stories, begins with a boy. I met and fell in love with DK while playing video games in my mid-twenties. We never thought much would come of our friendship; we lived in two different countries, had completely different backgrounds, and there was no possibility of our futures naturally merging. But still, we felt an inexplicable draw to one another. We continued to game together, video chatted, emailed, and had virtual movie dates before it was ever a Netflix option. He introduced me to Chinese dramas, sharing classics like Journey to the West, Legend of the Condor Heroes, and The Legend of White Snake.
Fast forward a couple of flirtatious years, I moved to a new country to be with him and we spent our nights binge-watching the Legend of Fuyao, Three Lives Three Worlds, and The Untamed. Now we have two beautiful children and dramas are still a wonderful point of connection for us. We will tuck our babies into bed, cuddle on the couch and watch an episode or two before bed.
It is no surprise that I have such a soft spot for drama when my love for them is forever intertwined with my love for DK. So in many ways, this whole site is a love letter to my ML. I hope you will ship us. SK<3DK1314
